  1. John Wing, born Mar 1752. Died 3 Apr 1812 buried 10 Apr 1812 at Thorney Abbey Church
     
  2. William Wing, born 25 Jul 1755. Died 21 Dec 1831 buried at Thornaugh. Married 15 Sep 1785 Elizabeth Rasor of Gosberton, Lincs,at Stamford.
    Their son, Rev William Wing, married Anne Margetts of Huntingdon, said to be a descendant of Edward I Plantagenet.
    The daughter Emma of their 4th son Thomas Wing of Gray Inn Square and of Hampstead, Middlesex, married on 17 Nov 1846 Colonel Sir George Everest, Kt, C.B., F.R.S., Surveyor General of India (and the discoverer of the highest mountain in the Himalayas).

A Biographical Dictionary of Civil Engineers in Great Britain and Ireland: 1500 to 1830 notes (p 789):

The first known map by John Wing is dated 1745 and he practised with his father in 1747 and 1748. In the following year he published a map of the Bedford Level, the Lincolnshire Fens, and Wisbech North-side, in which he showed the drainage of the land. Wing then went on to be employed a steward for the 4th and 5th Dukes of Bedford at Thorney, Cambridgeshire (1750-1760 and 1764-1780).
