Anna Elizabeth Turner was the daughter of John Turner esq, of Withyham, Sussex. Their marriage was noted in The Gentleman's Magazine in January 1842. It is also listed in the Weald of Kent, Surrey, and Sussex^[1]

2. Reginald Freeth, born 26 Jul 1844 at Middlesex, London, England christened 30 Aug 1844 at St Marys Church, St Marylebone, London. Died 24 Feb 1911 at 129 The Grove, Ealing, Middlesex; buried 28 Feb 1911 at Highgate Cemetery. He was educated at Eton College, and was the Chief Clerk at the War Office. In later years he lived with his Aunt, Anne Loysel, at 152 Hammersmith Road, London, to whom he left everything in his Will.
    
3. Evelyn Freeth, born 25 May 1846 at 65 Welbeck Street, London. Died 16 Sep 1911 at Lymington buried at New Milton, Hants
    
4. Alice Ann Freeth, born 14 Nov 1848 at Marylebone, London; christened 7 Dec 1848 at St Mary, Marylebone. Died 15 Aug 1916 at Exmouth, Devon
    
5. Harold Freeth, born Mar 1851 at St Pancras, London. Died 22 May 1878 at Bournemouth. Harold was educated at Eton College, and attended Oriel College, Oxford, where he took a Double First in Classics. Matriculated 19 Oct 1870 aged 19; BA 1875; Barrister-at-Law Lincoln's Inn 1876. He was engaged, but died before his wedding, possibly from meningitis.He won prizes for rowing. According to Florence Freeth, "he was the brainy one".

8. Frank Freeth, born Abt Aug 1856 at Edmonton, Essex, Hertfordshire, Middlesex. Died 8 Jul 1929 at London. He married Constance Handcock.
    
9. Edith Jane Annette Freeth, born 1858 at 16 Wynstay Gardens, Kensington christened 20 Jun 1858 at Eton, Buckingham, England. Died 8 Dec 1933 at Kensington. Edith was a dwarf and known as 'the little Aunt, delicate all her life, but still lived to 75'.

Notes:

Charles was Agent for Sun Fire Office, located at 65 Welbeck Street, London^[2]. The Post Office London Directory of 1882 shows him living at 4 Buckland Crescent^[a], Belsize Park, NW, and at 1 Vere Street Cavendish Square. On his death certificate, Charles' occupation is given as Manager, Sun Fire Office, Vere Street.

He was always known as 'Charles the Younger' and, as eldest son, he inherited many of his father's properties in London.

1841	Living with his father at Anne's Villas, Acacia Road, St John's Wood, Marylebone. (It is of interest that the Census notes it is Saint John's Wood Dairy Farm). He is aged 24, and shown as Agent to a Fire Office.Charles his father is 44 and Ann his mother is aged 44. Also present were Thomas (aged 21), Emma (aged 23), Ann (aged 10), Mary (aged 9), and one female servant.
1851	He is living at 124 Southwood Lane, Hornsey, Hamlet Highgate, Middlesex, London. His occupation is shown as Agent to the Sun Fire and Life Offices, 65 Welbeck St, Cavendish Square. His wife Anne E is present, and children Reginald (6), Evelyn (4), Alice Ann (2), Harold (3mo), and two female servants.
1861	He is living at 89 High Street, Eton, Buckinghamshire, aged 44. Also present are Anne Elizabeth (wife, 42), Reginald (16), Evelyn (14), Harold (10), Walter (7), Causton (6), Frank (4), Elizabeth Jane (2), Mary Ellen (11mo), and two female servants.
1871	He is living at 66 Maitland Park Road, St Pancras, Marylebone, aged 54. Also present are Anna E (wife, 52), Alice Ann (22), Harold (20, undergraduate at Oxford), Walter (17, Insurance Clerk), Causton (16), Frank (14), Edith J A (12), Mary E (10), and two female servants.
1881	He is living at 4 Buckland Crescent, Belsize, Hampstead, aged 64. Also present are Alice A (32), Causton (26, Insurance Clerk), Edith J A (22), Mary E (20), Catherine Turner (sister-in-law, 54), and three female servants.

Will

His Will was made 28 June 1879, with his Son Evelyn Freeth and Brother-in-Law John Henry Turner as Executors. He notes that it is his duty to provide for his three daughters who are unmarried. He left all his Real Estate and Personal Effects to be held in trust for his daughters Alice Ann, Edith Jane, and Mary Ellen. On the death of the last survivor, the estate was to be divided between living children, and children of dead sons and daughters.

Most of these were sold at or before auction on 25 July 1939, realising a total of £21550.
